Is Pearson renewed for season 2, canceled at USA? Current odds
First and foremost, let’s make it clear that as of this writing, there is no official word on a Pearson season 2 renewal. We know that we’d love to see more of the series on USA, but it all comes down to what the network wants and if they see enough viability to keep it going.
The bad news for Pearson season 1 comes in the form of the live ratings, which we wouldn’t consider to be spectacular in the slightest. We are talking about a show that drew a 0.1 rating on average in the 18-49 demographic and just under 520,000 viewers. Remember, though, that these are just live viewers. There are a lot of people watching the show after the fact, via DVR, and also via streaming. There is some life left in the story creatively so with that, the future here really ends up being in the network’s hands.
There is a case for ending Pearson and Suits at the same time, given the former show’s performance; yet, we would like to think that we could see another season! It’s a chance to see more of Jessica and how she can change this world. Also, it’s a chance to see more Suits cameos down the line. That would come down to creatives and actor availability, but we’ll definitely hold out hope for some more good stuff there in the future.
