Who should come back: April (Grey’s Anatomy), Felicity (Arrow), Maggie (Supergirl), Jack (MacGyver)

Through most of the month of September to date, CarterMatt readers have been working to answer one simple question: Who should come back? We introduced this poll series with 24 characters divided up into four groups of six, and within these groups, two advanced to the next round. Earlier this week we kicked off the semifinals and today, the remaining contestants all ended up doing battle.

In this piece, Maggie Sawyer, Jack Dalton, April Kepner, and Felicity Smoak are all going to have a chance to compete for two spots in the finale. We’ll have a poll at the bottom of this article for you to have your voice heard. Remember, two of these four will make it to the final round — if one character breaks out to a big lead, there’s still hope for another one to make a leap forward to the finals!

Voting rules – Vote however often you’d like! This poll will remain open until Monday, September 23 at 3:00 p.m. Pacific time. The finale in this poll series will begin later that same day, with the winner crowned one week later on the 30th! Jack Dalton, MacGyver – Here, we’ve got a case of a spirited character who brought a lot of humor, determination, and adventurousness into the show. He was one of the early reasons for the show’s success, but it looks like we’re going to be out him moving forward. Yet, the writers didn’t kill Jack off … so there’s always hope, right?

April Kepner, Grey’s Anatomy – While we’ve had a little bit of time to digest the end of Sarah Drew’s run on the medical drama, that doesn’t mean that we’re okay with it. We do still miss April and, to go along with that, feel like there’s a lot more that she could have offered the franchise. Never say never on a return!

Maggie Sawyer, Supergirl – Overall, Maggie had the most total votes of anyone within the first round — but now, she must start over to make it to the finale! The total number of votes she got is testament to the character’s passion, plus the love story that she and Alex Danvers had before Floriana Lima’s departure from the series.

Felicity Smoak, Arrow – Finally, we turn to the most recent exit of these four. We’re still reeling from losing Emily Bett Rickards from the show, just like we’re also still reeling from the fact that so many other former cast members have been confirmed to return and not her. What gives with that? We’re hoping that there is still a chance for her at some point, so we’ll continue to keep watch.
