Madam Secretary season 6 spoilers: Stephen Colbert to appear
This week, the network confirmed that the host of The Late Late Show will be appearing as himself within the first episode. Why? Well, it’s a part of the job of being in the White House to do unusual public appearances, and it doesn’t quite matter if you’re talking about being POTUS or the spouse of POTUS. In this case, Henry is going to be spending some time alongside Colbert for a segment that puts more attention on his personal life. As First Gentleman, he’s going to have to get used to some of what this entails.

“Hail to the Chief” – Elizabeth must fend off a baseless investigation into her past that threatens to derail the first major legislation of her presidency, on the sixth season premiere of MADAM SECRETARY, Sunday, Oct. 6 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network. Also, First Gentleman Henry squirms after his appearance on THE LATE SHOW with STEPHEN COLBERT (with guest star Stephen Colbert) results in heightened scrutiny of the romance in the First Couple’s marriage. Wentworth Miller guest stars as Senator Mark Hanson, a canny political operator.
It’s probably going to be quite jarring at first to see Elizabeth as President, largely because the fifth season ended with an announcement that she was running. We’re skipping over the campaign … at least in part. Rest assured that you will still see it, albeit in a rather unusual way as the season will alternate between showing Elizabeth in the present with updating you here and there about the past.
One last thought: We’re going to get behind any episode of TV that features Wentworth Miller and he’s going to be appearing this season too.
