Mayans MC season 2 spoilers: Who should the club be afraid of?
Just think about where things are at the moment entering the upcoming batch of episodes. We know already that the Mayans are going to be forced to deal with problems aplenty — EZ Reyes knows what Happy did to his mother, and that’s going to be conflict. From there, we also have questions about the cartel, the rebels, and then everyone working for the government. That includes Lincoln Potter, an agent of chaos who is going to be a focal point for the crisis coming up. He’s got a real knack for inciting fear, just as he’s also going to be the sort who battles the MC for episode on end. What makes him such a threat above all else is that he cannot be so easily dispatched — if you were to kill him, his death wouldn’t be the sort that disintegrated quietly and without headlines.
Speaking via TV Guide on the subject of the threat to come from Potter, here is what star JD Pardo had to say:
“He has an ability to just weave his way into the brotherhood, to get into your head, to manipulate and create problems and turn brother against brother. So that’s what you’re finding with Season 2 … It’s gonna be turned up a notch because Potter … is doing his job, but this time it’s personal. It’s like he’s really out for revenge.”
You better believe that Potter’s going to do whatever he can in order to get it, but if there’s one thing that the Mayans have going for them that they didn’t before, it’s a greater sense of unity. EZ has decided that this is where he wants to be, and we gotta think that this commitment to the cause is something that will aid him, let alone the rest of the Mayans, significantly in what we see coming up down the line. There will still be disagreements, though, so you gotta watch out for those.
