Pearson episode 8 preview; season 2 renewal odds at USA

Want to know what lies ahead on Pearson episode 8? We’re gearing up for the end of the season, and that’s where problems are mounting up. For Jessica, it means having to balance difficult relationships within her life. Does she care about work more than family? That’s a question posed by the promo below. We see her as a character who loves to embrace challenges — at times, to the point where she can’t look away from them. She’s so used to taking one after the other on and we’re not quite sure that she knows how to function without some of that chase and pursuit.

What are the chances of a Pearson season 2?

We think the speculation around the future of the series is building, especially now that another show in Queen of the South has already been renewed over at the network. This is one of the few USA series still in a degree of limbo, and it may just come down to the streaming/DVR performance.

After all, at the moment Pearson season 1 is averaging a 0.1 rating in the 18-49 demographic and just over 500,000 live viewers. That is a fairly-steep drop from Suits season 9, and from some of the network’s other series including the aforementioned Queen of the South. We think that there is a lot more in the way of stories to tell within this world, but it all comes down to performance and if USA wants to see this journey continue for a little while longer.

We’re ultimately not sure if we will hear about a Pearson season 2 one way or another before the finale airs. At the moment, we’re thinking it’s likely that USA takes their time before coming up with their decision.
