Pearson episode 7 preview: A look at ‘The Immigration Lawyer’
One of the big differences between Pearson and Suits is that the former has a chance to be a little bit more topical. It has a chance to take on issues that are going on in real, local city politics — ones that include people fighting for their rights and also political positions that have some personal edges to them. Jessica within this episode is going to find herself having to make good on a past agreement, and we know that this is going to come bearing some consequences of its own.
This episode, in general, could be one of the most personal ones of the show that we’ve seen to date. While Pearson has transitioned well from being just a spin-off to its own show, it takes any show time to truly find its voice and also understand how to best make it shine moving forward into a season 2. (We’re hoping that we even get a season 2, as there is no guarantee that this is going to happen.)
Below, CarterMatt offered up the official Pearson episode 7 synopsis with more information on what lies ahead:
Jessica tries to square a debt. Nick reels from McGann’s bombshell. Yoli deals with personal news.
Through all of Pearson season 1, there’s one thing that we’re seeing here: A sense of stability. While the ratings aren’t necessarily through the roof, they’ve been steady from start to finish. This is a great sign moving forward to the finale — if nothing else, it should offer up the folks over at USA a little bit of confidence. If “The Immigration Lawyer” lands as one of the best episodes of the season, that will absolutely help the cause.
