Poldark season 5 episode 7 promo: Behind the vanishing

Poldark season 5 episode 7 is airing Sunday night at a special time in 8:00 p.m., and it’s going to be the episode that builds towards the finale. In other news, it’s probably the most important episode of the series yet. The finale can’t be responsible for tackling too much story all at once; there has to be a path that gets us there and a number of stories for the writers to take on along the way.

In the video that CarterMatt has for you below, it’s clear that one of the top priorities is trying to understand more of what’s happening with Ross. The character was bludgeoned and then captured at the end of this past episode, and for Demelza/everyone else he cares about, the primary question quickly becomes whether or not there is a way for any of them to help him. Can he ensure his own safety, and if not, can someone else come in and help?

Then, there’s also the question of what Ralph, Tess, and others may be up to as well to hurt all of Cornwall? There are suspicions that Tess is up to something, and Cecily seems to confirm that she is. Why? Because her father is up to something. After Ralph locked her up for refusing to marry George, we feel like she’s probably honed some of her spycraft skills. She can see almost everything that is going on around her.

Before the end of Poldark season 5, we imagine that Demelza, Drake, and many other characters will find themselves in danger to go along with Ross. Not everyone will get what they want — a happy life with peace. The fact that Ross couldn’t be the hero when it comes to Ned Despard is foreshadowing for everything that could come in the next couple of episodes; Ross may have to think less about being everyone’s hero, and a little bit more about just being the hero for himself.
