ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 5 spoilers: Ready to rock?

One thing that we love about the murder-mystery show is that it always does allow for a certain element of fun, mostly because the cases we tend to see are significantly more varied than what we would probably actually see in a real-life situation. With that in mind, we have a fifth season of “Castle” that has already featured the local news, the Hamptons, and is heading off to Comic-Con in a matter of weeks (but not until Castle manages to clear his name after being labeled a murder suspect).

After all this is done, we then have an episode coming up that will throw Nathan Fillion and Stana Katic’s characters headfirst into the world of rock music. According to a new report via SpoilerTV, the seventh episode of this season is entitled “Swan Song,” and here is the official synopsis to go along with it:

“A documentary crew follows Castle, Beckett and the team as they investigate the murder of a rock band’s lead guitarist.”

Does this mean that we will see at least one person in the show’s cast do a little bit of singing? Based on what we’re hearing, it’s a pretty safe bet; but more than anything else, we are going to be interested in seeing how these two characters react to being filmed on a routine basis. Although Castle is already famous, he can usually hide behind the words in his book; as for Beckett, she has never been anything more than a fictionalized character in a book series, and not everyone may even be aware that a real-life counterpart exists.
