Yellowstone season 2 episode 8 preview: The unlikely avengers
CarterMatt has the new promo for you below and it seems that these strange bedfellows are going to have to do what they can to curtain Malcolm Beck’s own operation and some of his nefarious plans. On this past episode of the series, we got a pretty clear sense of what Beck is capable of — they pushed Beth to the brink of her life and were it not for Rip showing up, she could be dead right now. This led to the Dutton’s doing everything within their power to prepare to send Beck a message, but this is just the beginning of some of the drama ahead. Malcolm’s not backing down, and he’s going to do everything that he can in order to ensure that he gets what he wants.
By the end of Yellowstone season 2, we should have a good idea as to Malcolm’s longevity in this world. What we know at the moment is simply this: He’s a force and he’s wickedly evil. Neal McDonough is so good at playing this sort of maniacal, self-centered villain and he’d probably prefer to be dead than to stop his plotting and planning. Maybe on some level, he’s ready to go for broke.
In the midst of everything going on with Malcolm at the moment, it may be easy to forget about what just happened with Jamie almost taking his own life after killing the reporter. Rest assured, though, that this is still a storyline that is going to vocalize itself as important before we get to the season’s end. Yellowstone doesn’t pull off big story moves like this only to then forget about them a little bit later.
