Love Island USA finale: Who won: Zac & Elizabeth or Dylan & Alexandra?
Before we do too much else, let’s start this article off with more recognition that this show has become very much addictive over time. We didn’t even realize until tonight that we were going to miss it, its quirky narrator, and some of the relationships that formed. There was a sweetness to this show that isn’t there with Bachelor in Paradise. It has the right balance of humor and also heart — its format also works well because it goes by so fast.

We don’t know if any of these couples are going to last for a long time after the show — there’s no engagement at the end like we see with The Bachelor or Bachelor in Paradise. All of these people are still very young.
Fourth Place – Weston and Emily. No real surprise. In his words, they’ve “already won.” Aww? They’ve gotten a chance to know each other and they never had a chance of winning this show. Weston isn’t exactly the most well-loved person out there.
Third Place – Ray and Caro. No real surprise here, either. These two weren’t together all that long, but they were sweet together! We almost think that the two of them would’ve done a whole lot better if Ray had been a part of the show for longer.
Second Place – Dylan and Alexandra. they’ve been together for a while and we have some confidence that they could go the distance … though we do think Dylan could learn to pop a little bit more on-camera.
Winner – Zac and Elizabeth. This was a given. They were the only real wire-to-wire couple on Love Island this season and it made sense that America would go ahead and give them the prize. Elizabeth had an opportunity to take all of the money for herself at the end of the show, but there was no drama here — she split the money.
Did there really need to be a prize? We’re not so sure, just because money kinda defeats the purpose of this show — but, it does keep viewers involved and because it’s not a huge number like $1 million, there’s no need for conspiracy theories or the like.
