NCIS: Los Angeles season 11 filming begins, per Eric Christian Olsen!
In a new post on Instagram, series star Eric Christian Olsen confirmed that the cast and crew are back to work … and he’s getting a little shave and a haircut in the process. Let’s make one thing clear along the way — Deeks isn’t getting an extreme makeover. It’s just a small change to get Eric Marty-ready for the upcoming batch of episodes.
If you go over and view some of Olsen’s Instagram Stories, you can also see a funny interaction between Eric and his co-star/onscreen wife Daniela Ruah, who already seem to be in fall season form with some of their banter.

While the NCIS: Los Angeles season 11 cast may be back at work, they’ve actually filmed a little bit of footage for already for this fall! Following the end of season 10 production, the team went ahead and banked some footage for this current season. Why do that? The simple answer is that it gives the team an opportunity to establish more continuity from the end of one season to the start of another. They also had enough of an indication in advance that they were coming back for more episodes and were able to plan accordingly. The premiere should pick up soon after the season 10 finale, and that is with seeing some of the characters in danger — and also the JAG crossover with David James Elliott and Catherine Bell. The two aren’t going to be a part of the series long-term, but there is some more work that the cast and crew are going to be bringing to the table.
Expect this season to fundamentally be more of what you love about this show — think fantastic cases, intense action, and great moments for some of the characters.
