Lucifer season 5 spotlight: What’s next for Tom Ellis’ Lucifer Morningstar?

Lucifer

As we approach Lucifer season 5, what’s going to be coming up for our leading man in Lucifer Morningstar? That’s the focus of this article! It’s been many weeks now since the show aired its fourth season on Netflix and with filming starting before too long, it’s the perfect time to look towards the future. Tom Ellis’ character was set up in a dramatic position at the end of the season, but where do you go with him in Hell? Is there a way for him and Chloe to have a future again?

Below, what we’ve got for you are five different hopes and desires (word choice intended) for this character as we approach the end of the show. Note that there are no spoilers ahead — this is all just fun speculation!

Spend some time in Hell – Mind you, we don’t need to be spending more than a few episodes there, but getting a little bit of time within that world would be great. Maybe spend an episode or two with Lucifer in that position so we can see what that world is like but, eventually, you need to move in over to the other side of that.

Explore Lucifer and Chloe together – Give us enough time to explore these two characters as a couple given that there is SO much potential for fun with the two of them! Think along the lines of dating, seeing Lucifer try to be a family man, and if the two can find a way to combine their lives.

Make things better with Dan – We like getting to see Lucifer and Dan work together, mostly because there is so much conflict almost ALWAYS there. It was a tough season for the two this year following Charlotte’s death and it would be nice to see the two establish something a little deeper and different here.

Give us an update on Lucifer and Eve – We don’t want to see them together, but has Eve managed to go off and find herself? It may offer up a sense of further closure to Lucifer knowing that his ex has truly found her place again. Who knows? If Maze is still available, she could end up with her.

Does he stay with the LAPD? – How will a show like Lucifer end? Is there a chance that he and Chloe embrace the mystery and the somewhat-routine of the LAPD, or is there something more that they are going to have a chance to embrace?

All in all, we do have confidence in the Lucifer writing team to come up with great content — especially since we know that there are 16 episodes within this final run.
