Good Trouble season 2 episode 8 preview: Callie contemplates a change

That makes sense when you start to consider what she’s been wrestling with as of late. Think in terms of what happened with the clerkship, the legal clinic, and then also when it comes to some major relationships.

So where are things going to go for her next? It could be a totally new direction, and one that could set her up for big things as she starts to look ahead. While Callie is going to take on some of these obstacles in her life, there’s something totally different going down for Mariana — she’s going to learn some info that could lead to her making some big changes of her own.

Following multiple confrontations in her life, Callie decides to make a change. Gael learns something unexpected about Elijah from the group commissioning his new art project. Meanwhile, Mariana gets the real story about what happened with the female former engineer.

Are we going to have more Gael stories that are separate from both Callie and Mariana? We think that we need that, largely because it will give him both a greater sense of identity and also a sense of self. There were a lot of characters on this show who entered with a disadvantage — we already knew so much about Callie and Mariana, and we even had some investment built up in Jamie even if he wasn’t a huge part of The Fosters. We at least had more of a sense of who he was and Gael was introduced first and foremost as a love interest. This is an opportunity to learn a little bit more all about what makes him tick.

As we near the end of this show’s summer run, there is one primary thing to remember: Nothing on Good Trouble ever stays the same forever. We expect that to be the case here.
