ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 5 spoilers: Beckett’s romance raises suspicion (video)

Who is starting to sniff around when it comes to Castle and Beckett’s relationship? On Monday night’s new episode of “Castle,” our beloved couple is going to be facing even more suspicion even courtesy of their own police force back in New York City.

Based on what we are seeing in some of the sneak peeks below, here exact is the premise for what is going to be coming up: Castle and Beckett have each decided to take off for the weekend on a romantic getaway, but this creates some problems when it comes to telling some other people about where exactly that they plan to be going. Ryan and Esposito inevitably do get suspicious about the couple’s plans, and they embark on a mission to find out for sure who Beckett’s new boyfriend really is. At one point, they even bring in Esposito’s “friend with benefits” Lanie in on their cause, and she has certainly been suspicious about what exactly Stana Katic’s character has been up to for quite some time.

As for the other major storyline this week, this getaway for Castle and Beckett to the Hamptons is going to create all sorts of problems for them. First and foremost, we are going to see the two of them get themselves roped into to a case just as they were about to enjoy a night of swimming (minus the clothes) in a pool. In addition to that, Castle is going to be dealing with a classic case of some writer’s block after firing on all cylinders for so long when it comes to his mystery novels.
