Designated Survivor season 3: New Tom Kirkman ‘campaign video’
To help satisfy your wait for the show’s June 7 premiere, the show (now on Netflix) has unleashed a new video via Twitter showing none other than Kal Penn’s character of Seth Wright doing what he can in order to plead Kirkman’s case to the good people of America. What’s so great about this is that it’s almost a recap of the first two seasons mixed with a video detailing some of what Kirkman vows to do moving forward. He recognizes that he did not become President via altogether familiar means, just like he also acknowledges that his Presidency was an imperfect one. We don’t know how it could be ever described as perfect when you consider where he was before the election and also where he could be going moving forward from here.
Suffice it to say, this campaign is not gonna be easy. It’s about taking your lumps, and then trying to find a way that you’re still better than anyone else. Expect some mental fisticuffs as we watch some of the familiar faces within this world battle it out with newcomers, folks waiting to unseat the metaphorical king by just about any means necessary.
If you didn’t know, we posted a video following the announcement of season 3 describing our glee over it happening! Take a look at that below and after doing so, remember to subscribe to CarterMatt on YouTube for some other insight. We’ll have more coming up down the line.
Based on the information that we’ve got, we’re willing to go ahead and draw a big conclusion: Season 3 of this show is going to be crazy. Hopefully, it will be crazy-entertaining, and another creative step forward from the first two. Gone are the semi-procedural stories and we’re on now to something a little bit tighter and more focused. That’s at least the implication we’ve gotten via some interviews featuring none other than Kiefer Sutherland himself. The goal here does seem to be to focus in, make things a little bit different, and then satisfy a lot of viewers on the other side. Hopefully, the words of Wright ring true and make you root for Kirkman even more!
Remember…
Check out season 3 of Desingated Survivor when it starts streaming and following that, be prepared to check it out all the way through. That’s the #1 way to ensure that a season 4 is granted on the other side. In terms of its Netflix performance, this show is absolutely a mystery wrapped within an enigma wrapped within Netflix’s almost Fort Knox strategy when it comes to telling you how some of their shows fare. For one reason or another, they’re not altogether keen on giving up that info!
