Agents of SHIELD season 6 episode 4 preview: Sarge is after Deke…
Let’s start with the good news — Deke is back! It’s nice to have him, given that he brings a different sort of energy than we really get from anyone else at this point. With everything that these characters have gone through, many of them have been somewhat-hardened. With Deke, there’s a different energy. To think, he’s actually so happy to see Sarge at first because he thinks that it’s actually Phil Coulson.
Suffice it to say, the poor dude is in for some sort of rude awakening. Throughout “Code Yellow,” what he’s going to learn instead is that Sarge is a man who is entering this season with a particular agenda, and a lot of that has a thing or two to do with continuing a quest that he’s been on for a long, long time. More than likely, trying to get rid of Deke is just another piece in that, and poor Deke’s gonna have to figure out how to bolt soon before Clark Gregg’s new character can do anything more to him.
So who is Sarge, exactly? That’s still something that this season doesn’t appear altogether keen to unlock right away. We know that he certainly speaks differently rom just about everyone else, and that could be at least one clue to the story that’s going to be coming up. We feel like the time for answers will be coming — personally, we’d love some sort of huge spotlight episode that really does just dive into the character’s backstory and gives us a much greater sense of all of his collective ins and outs.
Want some more news now on what lies ahead? If so, CarterMatt has the official Agents of SHIELD season 6 episode 4 synopsis below:
Yo-Yo and Keller take things public; parasitic aliens threaten the human race; and someone really needs boba on “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” airing Friday, May 31st on ABC, streaming and on demand.
Perhaps the thing that is a little bit more surprising than anything about this is A) how little it gives away and B) how comedic the show is starting to shift in their synopses. Obviously, Agents of SHIELD knows that they’re not going to be dishing too much in the way of details and because of that, they may as well do something to get people intrigued enough to watch. One thing the show’s doing at least a decent job at right now is being consistent in terms of the ratings — the first two episodes generated a 0.4 in the 18-49 demographic and while that’s not great, it’s at least consistent with what it had for the final episodes of season 6.
