Ransom season 3 finale spoilers: Breaking all of the rules
Also, if this does turn out to be the last episode of Ransom ever (a little more on that subject will be coming up soon), you want to make sure that it ends with the biggest bang possible.
For some more news as to what’s coming, be sure to view the official Ransom season 3 finale synopsis:
“Story for Another Day” – When Cynthia (Karen LeBlanc) and her younger brother, Tyler (Emmanuel Kabongo), are abducted by a criminal Tyler’s indebted to, Eric (Luke Roberts) and the Crisis Resolution team are forced to break all the rules in order to find them, on the third season finale of RANSOM, Saturday, May 25 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
With what we know about this show in mind, we wouldn’t be altogether shocked if the finale wraps up in a way that gives you some resolution, but not all. They want you to feel satisfied, but more than likely, they also want you to come back (understandably) for a fourth season down the road.
Will a Ransom season 4 happen?
We’ll discuss this further next week with the finale, but this is one of the few shows on CBS that doesn’t have its future figured out just yet. One of the reasons for that is simply because it operates under a very different sort of model. It’s a Canadian series, and it’s one that the network doesn’t have to invest just a great deal of money into in order to ensure that it is successful.
As for the show’s ratings, there is some more good news here. The series is actually up slightly in the 18-49 demographic versus where some of the numbers were in season 2, and that’s not something that you really see all that much for primetime network shows. That’s a big reason for CBS to at least consider bringing the series back for another season, with Global in the north hopefully on the same page. (We can’t comment on the Canadian ratings, but we like to think the show performs well there.)
What we’re ultimately seeing more than anything else is that Ransom has managed to nab itself a loyal, committed following — hopefully, these are the sort of people who would continue to watch once more in season 4, even if the show remains in its terrible Saturday timeslot.
