The Voice finale rankings: Will Maelyn Jarmon or Gyth Rigdon win?
In looking at the field at the moment, the immediate takeaway is going to be that there are a LOT of country singers in the mix — that’s going to be polarizing for a lot of viewers out there but, in all honesty, The Voice has become a little more of a country-focused show as of late. We just don’t think that having a heavy country field is necessarily indicative of who is going to win … and these rankings may prove that.

4. Andrew Sevener – Judging from the sole fact that Andrew needed the Save in order to make it through to the finale, it’s hard to sit here and be altogether confident that he’s suddenly going to win! While we think there is a charm to his old-school brand of country, he hasn’t had that sort of big-time The Voice moment that you really need in order to get a surge of votes at this point in the competition.
3. Dexter Roberts – We actually think that Dexter had a stronger performance than Gyth on this past show, but we’re trying to think in terms of some sort of cumulative performance here. What Dexter brings to the table is a great understanding of his voice, and also how to be vulnerable on stage. He’s come a long way since we first saw him perform on American Idol so many years ago.
2. Gyth Rigdon – After his last performance, we feel like he’s going to have a TON of support from super-patriotic voters in addition to the country community. He was also already the most likely country singer to win before that. Gyth can easily win, but the question that we have to wonder is whether or not most of Team Blake’s voters will move their way towards him or split the vote between all three. If the latter happens, it’s easier to see the final result with Maelyn go down.
1. Maelyn Jarmon – We just don’t see any other way to rank her at the moment. While we understand the uber-popularity of Team Blake, pretty much every person other than Blake/country music fans are going to be voting for Maelyn … and she has also been the strongest vocalist for largely the entire season. She’s shown range, versatility, and she’s going to have a mentor in John Legend eager to get the best out of her and claim, in turn, his first title in just one season on the show.
