Chicago Fire season 7 episode 22 (finale) spoilers: Hope for Severide, Kidd

Want to know what’s coming on Chicago Fire season 7 episode 22? This is going to be the big finale and with that in mind, you have to expect that there will be … fireworks. Yea, we may be regretting that choice of puns already. This is going to be a crazy finale, one that is chock full of all sorts of dramatic twists. Beyond just that, this could be one that pushes at least one relationship or two forward … or at least we hope so.

Let’s start things off here with a little bit of what we’re expecting at the moment, and it starts with something big for Severide and Kidd. We want these two to end up together and with that in mind, we’re hoping that there is something that happens within this finale that gets the two of them closer to that point again. We don’t think it’s too unreasonable of a goal to be thinking about that, especially when they are taking on a case that is so personal in the first place. We’re specifically looking at this through the lens of Benny, who Severide lost a little bit earlier in the season. Everything at the moment with his is full-circle.

05/22/2019 (09:00PM – 10:00PM) (Wednesday) : Severide and Kidd continue to investigate Benny’s old arson case, unexpected news leads Brett to ponder a big decision and all hell breaks loose as the season concludes. TV-14 DLV

Of course, this synopsis seems to be hinting at the one other big story that could end up becoming more of a deal in the finale — something when it comes to Brett and her own future. We know that she’s already thinking about Casey and if there’s something there, and it’s possible that this could be linked to that — or, something else that is incredibly important to her future.

No matter what you’re thinking in terms of the story for this season, there are four words that are really striking here more than any other: “All hell breaks loose.” That’s, of course, hinting that there’s going to be a crazy cliffhanger at the end of all of this. Be prepared with all of your protest signs and the like for the rest of the summer. We know that Chicago Fire will be back in the fall, and we’ll have a good chance to take on a lot of important story ideas and discussions over the coming months. For now, let’s just prepare ourselves for a finale event like no other, one that is almost certain to leave us on the edge of our seat.
