NCIS: New Orleans season 6 premiere date hopes on CBS

NCIS: New Orleans season 4 premiere

Do you want to know when the NCIS: New Orleans season 6 premiere date is going to be on CBS? Consider this article your earliest of guides to that, and then also the long-term future of the series to go along with it.

The best thing to obviously share when it comes to the show is the simple fact that there will be another season of the series coming during the 2019-20 season — and, more than likely, this fall. NCIS: New Orleans remains one of the strongest 10:00 p.m. shows that CBS has, and we don’t really think that there’s going to be all that much in the way of interest in messing around with it. We wouldn’t be surprised to ultimately see it back in the same spot that it’s been in the past few seasons, and also return come fairly late within the month of September.

Luckily, all will be revealed soon! Our expectation at the moment is that the season 6 timeslot will be shown off during CBS’ upcoming upfront presentation — there may not be official premiere dates, but you’ll get a good sense of everything else. The only concern that we have for this show timeslot-wise is that we could see it moved to another night so that CBS could put in FBI: Most Wanted in its place. Obviously, everything that we are saying here as hypothetical and something worth thinking about, but for now, let’s just take things one news item at a time.

As for what we want to see in season 6…

More New Orleans-based cases – While Apollyon may have been an interesting sort of adversary this time around, to us there is something so great about this show diving into some of the local style and culture. We want to see it continue to have some of the music and the food that is totally synonymous with New Orleans — it’s got such a unique DNA that the last thing that we want to see is that shifted and changed all that much.

More of Pride’s family – Episodes that have his daughter Laurel or his brother Jimmy give him something extra to work with, and with his father now dead, we think Pride’s going to need to take a look at some personal connections elsewhere.

Can we get some Lasalle stories? – Out of all of the main cast members, it felt like we saw the least amount of spotlights for Lucas Black in the second half of this season. Ever since he got out of some tough times via his father’s business, things have been a little bit quieter. We want to see where he’s at in terms of his personal and professional life now.
