Dynasty season 2 episode 18 preview: ‘Life is a Masquerade Party’

Dynasty

Next week, Dynasty season 2 episode 18 is bringing you the sort of stuff that you love to see on a show like this — drama, deception, arguments, and of course a masquerade party because … why not? Don’t they make the world go round on a series quite like this? With just the slightest shred of anonymity, almost anything can happen and more often than not, it does.

Things are going to be complicated in this episode for a wide array of reasons, ones that start with problems in Fallon’s romantic life and then go on to include a wide array of other issues — think in terms of how the masquerade ball happens and also how it’s being used for some other important characters as well. This episode may very well take the cake as one of the craziest of the whole season, and the Dynasty season 2 episode 18 synopsis below does its part to better explain why:

BEHIND THE MASK – Romantic issues surface between Fallon (Elizabeth Gillies) and Liam (guest star Adam Huber) when she uses a public misconception to try and boost pre-sales of his soon to be released book. Meanwhile, when Sam (Rafael De La Fuente) plans a masquerade ball to roll out his new identity as a single man, Adam uses it as an opportunity to unveil the “new” Alexis to the family. Grant Show, Robert Christopher Riley, Maddison Brown and Alan Dale also star. The episode was written by Josh Reims and Aubrey Villalobos Karr and directed by Jeff Byrd (#218). Original airdate 4/26/2019.

The promo below is … well, it’s the same sort of stuff that we’ve seen from a lot of other Dynasty promos already. Let’s just say that we know why so many people get routinely frustrated with this show, since it does have this incredibly-annoying tendency to not give all that much in the way of info away about some of what’s coming in favor of just some sort of quick little tease or quick one-liner. There is a certain charm and appeal that comes from this, but that starts to fade a little bit when you get closer to the end of the season. You know that there’s more drama and hype at this point than any other and you really just want to get to the point where you’re starting to learn about what’s coming at the end of the season. If Dynasty isn’t going to do it now, can they at least do it for the finale? Isn’t there a certain degree of value of trying to find a way in which to get some more viewers to watch? We at least think that there really should be.
