NCIS: Los Angeles season 10 episode 20 spoilers: Sam’s case turns personal

Sam Hanna's revenge tour

Sam Hanna may not be Dr. Bruce Banner, but the two do have one thing in common: You won’t like them when they’re angry. Sam will get mad, but more than that, Sam will get even if you cross him, and that’s something that will be a theme for NCIS: Los Angeles season 10 episode 20, which is arriving on CBS come Sunday, April 14.

Before diving too much more into the actual events of this episode, let’s go ahead and offer an update on one important piece of intel now: There’s no episode the week prior on April 7. The rest of the schedule this season should work almost as follows: You’ll have a new episode this Sunday and then another one on March 31. Following that, April 7 is the annual Academy of Country Music Awards (a CBS hiatus tradition) and on the other side of that, you’ll have a good chance to see episode 20 (entitled “Choke Point”). You’re going to get new episodes most of the rest of the way, which helps to make up for wanting to throw the remote at the TV over all of the breaks during the first couple of months of the year.

Do you want to know what’s actually coming in this episode to make Sam’s blood boil? Below, CarterMatt offers up the official NCIS: Los Angeles season 10 episode 20 synopsis with information all about it:

“Choke Point” – After a Navy Seal is attacked while moonlighting at a security job for a successful marijuana dispensary, Sam personally vows to apprehend the suspect out of respect for the Navy Seal brotherhood, on NCIS: LOS ANGELES, Sunday, April 14 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

When you think about it, it’s really rather amazing the number of shows within the CBS world that have some sort of Navy SEAL connection to them. Think about SEAL Team (obviously), but then also remember that Steve McGarrett and Junior Reigns on Hawaii Five-0 have some experience in the unit. Meanwhile, Thomas Magnum on Magnum PI also holds the designation. Why is CBS becoming the Navy SEAL network? We actually think it’s not that hard a question to answer: People who become Navy SEALs push themselves to the limit and are often pretty exceptional leaders. That’s why they find themselves at the top of the law-enforcement food chain. They know how hard it is to be away from your friends and family with their lives frequently on the line; when one bleeds, they all do and there’s a perseverance to ensure that justice is served against all odds. Expect something great for LL Cool J in this episode — not that we haven’t seen it before, but he tends to thrive in these intense, personal episodes where he can hone in on a mission and show off some of the rougher edges of this character. Because of what he’s gone through in the show’s run, he probably handles a case like this with a larger sense of force and tunnel vision than he would have ten years before.
