The Bachelor finale spoilers: Will Colton propose? Cassie drama & more
What matters more than anything, at least for now, is remembering that Colton Underwood was at the Women Tell All special tonight. Because of that, you could be assured that everything worked out and he didn’t just go completely rogue when it comes to production. That was validated by what we saw in the closing minutes of the episode. We saw Colton at least go back to production in some capacity, and have some serious heart-to-heart conversations with Chris Harrison. We also saw Hannah G., who was basically a ghost for all of Monday’s episode.

The truth at the moment is that so much of the story right now is about Cassie, and the two other women are left to the side. It’s pretty clear at the moment, though, that it’s all about picking Cassie or picking no one. There is no real in-between here. He clearly loves her more than the other women and if he doesn’t, he’s going to have some really difficult discussions with whoever he picks on the other side of it.
Obviously, most seasons of The Bachelor end in a proposal, but we really don’t think that there is all that much of a conversation about that with this show. It’s not really about whether or not he is going to pop the question at the moment. Instead, you’re left to wonder whether or not he’s going to end up with anyone at all. It’s abundantly clear at the moment that Cassie’s not ready — she’s still really young! Beyond that, her family doesn’t seem totally on board with the idea of her going off and tying the knot to a complete stranger. They obviously have a very specific value set on the idea of engagement — for us, the idea of getting engaged at the end of this show doesn’t really mean all that much, mostly because of the fact that it’s no guarantee of marriage and it’s largely a rite of passage that comes with the “TV moment” of it all.
If Colton and Cassie find a way to get together and make it work, good on them. If it doesn’t happen, it’s hard to really imagine him ending up with someone else.
