NCIS: Los Angeles season 10 episode 15 video: ‘Smokescreen’ resumes

If you need a quick refresher, here it is — the NCIS team is working to handle a terrorist operation that is sweeping through the city, and one of the places that they’ve already wrecked havoc is a prominent theater. Sam and Callen are stuck within it following an explosion, while Deeks and Kensi are forced to try and pick up the pieces outside. As tricky a situation as this is, it may only be scratching the surface of the terrorists’ larger plans.
The sneak peek below is fairly short, but in this, you get a small sense of what Deeks and Kensi are up against now on the outside. Also, you get a sense that the “bomber” may not have actually been the person to cause the explosion in the first place. There may have been a remote detonator, and that’s something that could kickstart the remainder of the story as the team rushes to find the people responsible. We’ve already seen from other promotional material that Sam/Callen will eventually find their way out of the theater, but this absolutely does not mean that they are out of the woods. There are still some other problems that they could end up running into.
Do we think that this storyline will be resolved in this episode? At least for the time being — one of the things that the NCIS franchise often does is store away a plot and then come back to it down the road. There is a part of us that would not be shocked if this is something that happens here, and we have a chance to take on this particular story down the road when we get a little bit closer to the finale. There are some other storylines that obviously need to be addressed, and we’ve got a feeling that one of the big ones (the wedding for Deeks and Kesni) is going to be coming soon on the other side of the horizon.
