TNT announces return dates for ‘Dallas,’ ‘Southland,’ and ‘Rizolli & Isles’

TNT had itself quite a summer in between the successful launch of their “Dallas” sequel-of-sorts along with their typical collection of strong returning shows; and now, we know when some of these favorites are going to be back in the winter.

The first two shows that are going to be coming back on the schedule will be “Rizolli & Isles” as well as “Leverage,” and they will begin airing new episodes again starting on Tuesday, November 27. This late start date will be a way to help take advantage of the fact that many networks opt to air repeats through par of the month in December thanks to the holiday season, and there will be a little less competition to deal with.

Meanwhile, the show is making a rather interesting move when it comes to shifting the new season of “Dallas” to its new time on Monday, January 28, where it will likely do battle with such network shows as “Castle” as well as “Hawaii Five-0.” The good news? There is not as much to worry about when it comes to cable competition versus what tends to be a crowded night in Wednesdays (which is where it aired earlier this summer). One week later, the show well be joined by the new David E. Kelley – Sanjay Gupta series “Monday Mornings,” which features the likes of Ving Rhames in a leading role.

As for February, the 13th will mark the beginning of “Southland’s” latest season, which is great new for those of you who love to watch critically-acclaimed programming on a network where many shows outside of “The Closer” have been ignored for many years. Two weeks later, the network will also launch “Boston’s Finest” (working title), which is an unscripted look at the Boston Police Department.

What show are your the most excited to see back?
