Emilia Clarke is bringing fans to Game of Thrones season 8 premiere

The Game of Thrones season 8 premiere is coming on HBO soon, and we’re not sure that there is any event as anticipated as this one. It’s the most-popular show in the history of premium cable bracing itself for an epic, six-episode conclusion. We don’t think that we really need to clue you in on some of the dangers that we could be seeing from start to finish there. Some characters could die. Some others could find themselves in miserable positions where they wish they could die. Anything is possible, but one thing is for certain – there will be misery and there will be a battle like no other.

In the new video that CarterMatt has for you below, you can see something rather awesome that Emilia Clarke is doing leading up to the show’s big return — inviting a fan (and a guest) to join her at the upcoming season 8 premiere event in New York City alongside the exclusive HBO after-party. It’s a chance to celebrate the show’s legacy and learn a thing or two about life behind the scenes. This is all a part of a new campaign with Omaze, one that benefits the Charities Aid Foundation of America — a way to help people in need.

To go along with the campaign, check out the fun video below where Clarke gives classic high-school yearbook superlatives to many of the show’s cast. She talks in here a little bit about who was the most likely to cry at the end of the show to also who had the best reaction to finding out that their character was killed off. There’s a really great story in here for those who are Jason Momoa fans, and the name Kit Harington is dropped probably more in these than you ever would have expected going into it. This is mostly a fun little way to raise awareness about the campaign, but it does also certainly help that Clarke has such a great sense of humor. Her willingness to embrace the show and its fans is one of the biggest reasons why she is one of the biggest breakout stars, and also why Daenerys is a character who will live on in many of us for many years after the fact.

Even if you don’t have any intention in entering the contest, we do think that this video still has a certain degree of relevancy — if nothing else, isn’t it outstanding to have a reminder that this show is going to be on the air sooner rather than later? It’s been such a long wait to get to this point! The seventh season aired all the way back in the summer of 2017 and it’s going to be so thrilling to find out who, if anyone, ends up on the Iron Throne.
