Blue Bloods season 9 episode 13: More Eddie – wedding dress photos!

Today, CBS released some of the latest photos from the upcoming February 1 episode entitled “Ripple Effect,” and they show you fully just how much the network is going hard promoting the Jamie – Eddie wedding. Even if the ceremony isn’t happening presumably for at least a little while longer, they want all of us to start getting excited for every little part of it. Shopping for a wedding dress is a big part of the process and finding that perfect dress can be a lot of fun (and in some cases also a little stressful). Part of the fun is that you get to bring some of your close friends and family with you when dress shopping and get some honest feedback from them as to what’s working and what isn’t. Personally, when I was shopping for a wedding dress to marry Matt, I knew that the first dress I tried on was the one, but my best friend made sure I tried on other dresses just in case. Even though I ended up going back to the very first dress I tried on, it was great to have her advice and I’m glad i tried other styles on. Having your posse there with you can be really helpful!

With this in mind, I should say that technically there’s no guarantee that this dress in the photo is the same one that  Vanessa Ray’s character will be wearing for her big day – that being said this dress is incredible so they have set the bar almost impossibly high if this isn’t the dress. What all of this does do for me is it gives me hope that we are going to continue to see different aspects of the wedding planning play out up until the big day. I’m still salty that I didn’t get to see Jamie propose, but with all of this wedding talk, I’m feeling confident that I’m going to get to see their big day and that will definitely make up for missing out on the proposal.

If nothing else, these photos (which coincide with some others shared in a recent TV Guide) are reminders that CBS is going all-in on the idea that the Jamie – Eddie wedding could happen at some point this season. I’m just crossing my fingers and hoping that it comes in the season finale in May, largely because they just found a possible venue and it seems a little too early to have the wedding before then. Remember here that many venues have waiting lists of years in real life! Granted, we know that Jamie and Eddie aren’t trying to pin down the most extravagant of venues, either, but a May wedding sounds nice to me.

While there’s going to be some fun moments of romance and wedding teasers within this episode, also remember that there are still cases to solve and other stories to tell! I can tell you already that when it comes to Eddie, she and Jamie will actually be working together on some sort of case in this episode — it may not be precisely a callback to an earlier era of the show, but it is a solid reminder if nothing else.
