Good Doctor season 2 episode 4

Is The Good Doctor season 2 episode 15 going to be the most eventful one of the season? It’s starting to feel that way.

We’ve already mentioned that this is the episode directed by none other than series star Freddie Highmore and for that reason alone we couldn’t be more excited for this installment. He already wrote the premiere, and he’s finding another way now to make an impact on the show. We also mentioned recently that this is the episode where executive producer Daniel Dae Kim will turn up for the first time as an actor (which also excites us greatly since we have been a big fan of his since we first saw him on Lost). He will be appearing as a new chief of surgery named Dr. Jackson Han, someone who is going to cause a little bit of trouble at the St. Bonaventure Hospital — and potentially put Shaun’s career in a little bit of jeopardy.

Now, we have another slice of casting news for you to check out. According to a new report right now via TVLine, Teen Witch alum Robyn Lively is going to be appearing in this episode as Diane, one of the two parents to a baby girl with serious issues at birth. She and the baby’s father Nigel are going to be left to make some critical decisions on the baby’s future. Knowing the way that The Good Doctor handles its medical cases, this is probably going to be a delicate case with some important medical and ethical questions from start to finish.

Episode 15 kicks off a run of four episodes that will more than likely be linked in a number of different ways. For starters, this is the length of Kim’s arc on the show, and this is also going to culminate in an epic season 2 finale. We don’t expect that the finale this year will be the series finale, but we nonetheless do think that we could be in for one of the most shocking, stunning stories that we’ve had a chance to see so far. Let’s just hope that one way or another, this lives up to some of the expectations that we have for it in our head. We want The Good Doctor to have a finale that rivals the quarantine saga in terms of intensity … difficult as that may be.
