Riverdale season 3 episode 10 preview: Betty, Jughead’s ‘SAT prep’

Riverdale season 3 episode 2

Following tonight’s winter premiere, do you want to know what’s coming up next on Riverdale season 3 episode 10? This is an episode that is about something very innocent, but also super important for young people as they think about their future: SAT prep. One simple test, ridiculous and outdated as it may be, can determine whether or not you’re let in to a good school. It’s one of the things that admissions can look at and make a quick determination with regardless of any other attributes you might bring to their school. We could easily go down some sort of rabbit hole in talking about the SAT’s and how they really aren’t a great measurement for school to base who they choose to attend, but that’s not really the point of this article.

Of course, when it comes to Riverdale there is one thing that we know: Nothing is ever ordinary in this universe and that includes taking a test. Instead of being able to focus on the SAT’s, Betty and Jughead are going to find their lives moving in a different direction once again as they could find some trouble in some rather unexpected places.

Below, CarterMatt offers up the official Riverdale season 3 episode 10 synopsis with some more information on what’s next:

SAT PREP – With SAT’s around the corner, Alice (Madchen Amick) and FP (Skeet Ulrich) urge Jughead (Cole Sprouse) and Betty (Lili Reinhart) to stop investigating G&G and start focusing on their SAT prep. However, when Alice takes things one step too far, Betty is forced to come face-to-face with someone from her past. Finally, Jughead makes a bold move against the Gargoyle Gang. Camila Mendes, Marisol Nichols, Luke Perry, Mark Consuelos, Casey Cott and Charles Melton also star. Maggie Kiley directed the episode written by Brian E. Paterson (#310). Original airdate 1/23/2019.

Of course, the one thing that is intriguing us at the moment above all else here is the fact that there’s so little hinted about some of the other main characters in this episode, whether it be Archie, Veronica, or others. We have a hard time thinking that all of these people are excluded from the story, but the main objective of this hour as a whole could be to offer up some sort of Bughead-focused hour that gives us a real shot to dive more of what’s going on in their lives — and also how nothing may ever be normal for the two of them. At this point, we’re not even sure that they would be accustomed to “normal” even if they had an opportunity to be that way.
