Celebrity Big Brother 2 spotlight: Is Jonathan Bennett a winner candidate?

The entire Celebrity Big Brother 2 cast is now officially out, and with that we’re spending this week previewing what to expect from many of the contestants and whether or not they could win the season! Consider this article series your guide to understanding what each person brings to the table and also whether or not they have a legitimate chance of winning. Today, the focus is on Jonathan Bennett — the first person we are spotlighting this season!

Claim to Fame – He’s best known for playing Aaron Samuels in the iconic movie Mean Girls, and has appeared on such shows as Awkward and Hit the Floor. He also appeared on Dancing with the Stars and has hosted Cake Wars and a number of other shows.

Strengths – Out of all the people this season, especially out of the men, Jonathan is probably the most normal. He’s a likable, good-natured guy with a great sense of humor and an understanding of his place in pop-culture history. He’s going to be game to poke fun at himself here and there and he should be the sort of person who knows how to deal with a lot of the egos in the Big Brother house. Because of his hosting experience, he’s probably also going to know how to deliver some great moments in the Diary Room — great for us as viewers.

Weaknesses – Given Bennett’s skill set, he is probably the person this season most likely to get a new hosting job or something else out of it — with that, he needs to be careful not to think too far ahead in terms of what this show could give him. Instead, he needs to focus on the now and keep his eye on the prize. He also may need to worry about being a threat just because he is the sort of person who could easily win this show. If there are savvy players in the game, they will want to get Jonathan out ASAP.

Outlook This Season – We do think that Jonathan will perform rather well this season — we don’t want to say for sure that he’s our winner pick, but we do think that he has a number of the skills necessary. The best thing he has going for him is that he feels fairly well-rounded. He’s not going to stick out and he can use that to survive at least the first few evictions. Because this game is so short, he just needs a quick run near the end to guarantee himself the title.
