Outlander season 4 episode 8 photos (part 2): Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe

After being MIA for all of this past installment, it’s rather-nice to see both Jamie and Claire involved heavily in the story again. In these photos, the primary order of business seems to be them paying a visit to Fergus and Marsali’s new family, and everyone seems to be getting along rather swimmingly.
Looking at these photos is also another reminder of precisely how far Fergus has come along. Remember young Fergus just from last season? This is a man who has very much evolved and is finding his way in the world. It’s great that he has, given that he now has more responsibilities than ever before. Seeing Marsali, meanwhile, is so interesting given that we just spent some time on this past installment with Laoghaire. Think back to who she was last season coupled with who she is now — it really is quite the difference!
As nice as it is going to be to see Jamie and Claire around some familiar faces, we don’t want it to be lost along the way that there is also some important business that needs to be attended to here. After all, we are talking here about the issue of the Regulators and Governor Tryon, who seems keen on eradicating any threats in the area. Unfortunately, that’s going to put Jamie and Claire in a rather-tough spot given that one of them is Murtagh, basically a part of their family. The same can be said for Fergus and Marsali, so seeing them may help to give them a little bit of perspective.
Of course, what Jamie and Claire are not aware of at the moment is that there could be another part of their family coming their way in Brianna, who is inching ever closer to being in North Carolina. It will probably not be an easy journey for her to get there, but it seems based on the promo alone that she will be at least reasonably close by one point in this episode.
Like all of the others, this episode of Outlander will arrive on Starz come Sunday night at 8:00 p.m. Eastern. We’ll have more coverage all weekend!
