NCIS: Los Angeles season 10 episode 13 to be big Kensi story

Better Angels

Recently, we said that one of the things that we want to see on NCIS: Los Angeles season 10 is a big Kensi story. Luckily, it does seem as though the writers are giving us precisely what we want here! The upcoming January 13 episode, the second one of the season after the hiatus, is going to put Daniela Ruah’s character front and center in a way that doesn’t directly tie back to Deeks. Don’t get us wrong — we like Densi as much as any other supporter of the couple out there. We just want to see Ruah get some moments in the sun that are also independent of her character’s relationship.

Below, CarterMatt offers up the full NCIS: Los Angeles season 10 episode 13 synopsis (via SpoilerTV), which has more insight as to what’s coming up next:

“Better Angels” – The NCIS team works with the Global Criminal Tribunal when a Syrian seeking justice, David Sarraf (Eyas Younis), is brutally attacked while delivering evidence that would prove chemical weapons were used on civilians. Also, Kensi stays at the crime scene and comforts Sarraf who is pinned behind a vehicle, on NCIS: LOS ANGELES, Sunday, Jan. 13 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Why this episode will be so significant seems to trace mostly back to the fact that it is about justice. It’s about helping someone who is used to being discriminated against in a desperate situation — his life is on the line and he’s been attacked while trying to do a very noble thing. One of the things that the writers have really focused on as of late with this character is her constant desire to ensure that she does her job as well as possible and that she goes the extra mile if need be. This installment should allow her an opportunity to do just that.

This episode, for us as viewers, may also be important just because we’re not sure how many new NCIS: Los Angeles episodes we’re even going to get in January/February with everything else going on. Think in terms of the Grammys, the NFL playoffs, and the Academy Awards. There’s a lot of content crammed in to Sunday night’s lineup over the first couple of months out of the year.
