The Orville season 2 spoilers 2 spoilers: Is Kelly starting to date?

The Orville

Do you want to see more of what’s coming up next on The Orville season 2 episode 2? The first thing worth noting here is that it’s only going to be airing a matter of days after the premiere.

In the event that you have not heard, the first episode of the season is going to be coming on the air on Sunday, December 30 after the conclusion of the network’s full NFL programming. The second episode is going to air in the show’s proper time period, which is on Thursday nights at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. That’s going to be where the show lies for the remainder of the season.

For the sake of this episode, you’re going to get a chance to understand Bortus more as a character but, beyond that, Ed is also going to make a key revelation when it comes to Kelly — something that could have an impact on its own life. In some ways, The Orville is a series about adventure and about the people and things that the crew see along the way. Yet, simultaneously this is a show that is also about the people aboard the ship and some of the relationships that they have. In the end, Kelly and Ed need to be on the same page on some level in order to be effective and that need needs to be at the center of just about everything that happens with the two of them.

Below, CarterMatt offers up the full The Orville season 2 episode 2 synopsis with some other information as to what’s coming:

As The Orville heads towards Moclus for Bortus’ special once-a-year ceremony, Ed discovers Kelly has moved on and has started dating. Meanwhile, Gordon asks for John’s help in getting game, and Claire turns to Isaac for parenting advice in the all-new “Ja’loja” time period premiere episode of THE ORVILLE airing Thursday, Jan. 3 (9:00-10:00 PM ET) on FOX. (ORV-201) (TV-14 L)

As you probably notice via the show’s production code, this episode was actually the first one this season to film — that could have transpired for a number of different reasons, whether it be scheduling or just trying to make sure things were shot in a way that was most convenient for them.

All in all, we expect both this episode, as well as the remainder of the season, to be a good time. We think through everything that The Orville did in the first season that they learned some of what works and what doesn’t for them and that can be somewhat of a roadmap as we start to move towards the future.
