All American episode 9 return date hopes: When will it return?
Let’s kick things off here with the bad news that, alas, there is no new episode next week … or even the week after. The series is getting set to head out now on a rather-lengthy hiatus and we won’t get to see the other side of it until Wednesday, January 16. That’s a long time to wait … but is there a silver lining? We actually think that there could be.
If you look back at the first eight episodes of All American season 1, what you will get are a number of great reminders that this is one of the best series out there this season. Yet, at the same time it also has the issue of being one that is not exactly pulling in all that much in the way of viewers. This hiatus actually represents a really great opportunity for some new viewers to learn about All American and hopefully flock to it. This is a chance to deliver some entertaining content to viewers who haven’t had a chance to watch it yet.
Therefore, the advice that we’d hand down to viewers who haven’t seen the show before is simply this: Check it out. Check it out online, see if you’ve got some saved episodes on your DVRs, and try to encourage others to do the same if you like it. While we don’t think that All American is at a severe risk at the moment, we are a little bit more worried about its long-term future. It may get a season 2, but what about a season 3? We don’t think that it’s ever really too early to start looking ahead, and that’s what we are thinking about at this particular moment in time.
Unfortunately, we don’t think that we’re going to find out more information about the show’s future for a while — think at some point in the spring. Luckily, we do think that we will get some more information all about the next new episode before then; think in terms of at some point over the next couple of weeks. We don’t think that The CW will make you wait that long, mostly because they really do want to promote the finale to the best of their ability.
