The bad news is that tonight’s episode “Tick Tock” is the final one for 2018; yet, the good news is that the folks over at CBS aren’t going to make you wait too long into the new year to see some of the aftermath. The next new installment is going to arrive come Tuesday, January 8 at 10:00 p.m. Eastern time, and the title here is “Vindicta.” For those wondering, that word is Latin for “vengeance.” There are some other definitions to it, but this is the one that makes the most sense at this particular moment.
Below, CarterMatt has the full NCIS: New Orleans season 5 episode 11 synopsis with some other information as to what’s coming up:
“Vindicta” – Pride and the NCIS team hope to take down a secret and lethal group of former intelligence agents and avenge the death of someone close to them, on NCIS: NEW ORLEANS, Tuesday, Jan. 8 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
Update: This episode has been pushed to January 15 due to the Presidential Address.
This is an episode that is, more than likely, going to be painful for Pride … which could mean, in turn, an excellent performance from Scott Bakula. It’s likely going to be a direct continuation to whatever happens tonight, and could further along what is so far one of the stronger seasons for the show. It feels like NCIS: New Orleans has taken on a little more of a serialized feel this year, with stories that tend to matter more from one week to the next. There are still a number of case-of-the-week plots that are true to the show’s DNA, but we definitely do appreciate the fact that the writers are mixing things up and trying to deliver some big, impressive stories. This is the sort of thing that is going to stir up conversation and potentially set the tone for all sorts of interesting storytelling as we do eventually move into the second half of this season. In the end, there is a lot to be excited for, provided of course that you are a big fan of this show.
Rest assured, there will probably be at least one more episode of the series airing in January, though we hope to have some more news on that a little bit down the line.
