The first episode of the new year is going to be airing on Thursday, January 3, and that means one thing rather simply: You’re not going to be forced to wait all that long for new episodes! That’s exciting, and it’s also going to be a pretty epic storyline when the show does come back. The theme here is paintball, and by the end of the episode, it could go down as one of the more unique ones that we’ve seen. Basically, this is an opportunity to really see characters air out a lot of their feelings and aggressions towards each other. These are hyper-competitive people — though the irony here is that none of them are particularly athletic, and this could just end up being a paintball battle where these characters are trying to duke it out while also firing paint-bullets at each other.
For a little more information on some specific stories in this episode, be sure to check out the official The Big Bang Theory season 12 episode 11 synopsis below:
“The Paintball Scattering” – Penny and Leonard organize a paintball game that results in mayhem when Sheldon is jealous of Amy. Also, Koothrappali catches Anu with her ex-boyfriend, and Stuart doesn’t want to move in with Denise, on THE BIG BANG THEORY, Thursday, Jan. 3 (8:00-8:31 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
This episode could be really important almost as a midway-point marker of the season. This is where characters could start to really assess some of their feelings for each other and, from there, start to look towards the future. For example, are we going to actually see Raj go the distance with Anu, or are we going to see Stuart with Denise at the end of the show? This feels like the episode that could really kick things off in one direction or the other depending on what we actually end up seeing from start to finish. There are a lot of different directions that this story could go and, one way or another, we’re hoping that it proves exciting.
If nothing else, at least we have the potential to be entertained endlessly with paintball … right? We do think that this goes a long way towards making this one to remember even if some of the finer details are lost over time.
