The Flash season 5 episode 8 preview: The 100th episode is here!

Flash season 5 episode 2

Next week, The Flash season 5 episode 8 is going to deliver a whole smorgasbord of treats. It’s the 100th episode, after all! (In some ways, this is also the fall finale — there is another episode afterwards, but it is a part of the Elseworlds crossover event and may not have anything to do with the actual season 5 story.)

So what is the story going to be for the 100th episode? Well, for starters, this seems to be all about a major blast from the past for Barry Allen. Nora is going to have a chance to explore some of her father’s history and with that in mind, there are a number of interesting things she could come into contact with — not all of them good. We already know that Zoom is going to be featured in some capacity here and he may not be the only one.

Below, CarterMatt has The Flash season 5 episode 8 synopsis with some more information all about what’s coming up next:

TOM CAVANAGH DIRECTS THE 100TH EPISODE – In the 100th episode, Barry (Grant Gustin) and Team Flash come up with a plan to stop Cicada (Chris Klein). However, the plan calls for Barry and Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy) to travel back in time to gather some key necessities. However, Barry hesitates, concerned about his daughter seeing certain parts of his life. Meanwhile, Sherloque (Tom Cavanagh) takes his concerns about Nora to Iris (Candice Patton), and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) turns up a key asset in the fight against Cicada. Tom Cavanagh directed the episode written by Todd Helbing & Lauren Certo (#508). Original airdate 12/4/2018.

Let’s make it very clear that we’re more than thrilled to see that Sherloque is finally raising some questions about Nora to her parents, mostly because this is something that has been bubbling underneath the surface for a good while now. He feels like there is something off about her and has for a little while, but it hasn’t been explicitly mentioned on the show in a little bit. Does this mean that Nora is secretly some sort of supervillain? Hardly, but there could be some element of her own timeline that she is leaving out and we’ve be certainly curious about that … among a wide array of other possibilities.

After this episode, more than likely there will not be any others coming onto The CW until January.
