God Friended Me episode 10 return date: ‘Coney Island Cyclone’

Following tonight’s new episode, you may be waiting a little bit longer than usual for God Friended Me episode 10. The CBS series is going to be embarking on its first hiatus of the season, and luckily, it’s a fairly short one. There is no new episode coming on Sunday, December 2, but on the other side of that on December 9, you are luckily going to have a chance to see more. There are at least two more episodes coming up this year, so rest assured there will be a combination of more personal stories and hopefully additional information handed down on the whereabouts of the mystery God Account.

Below, the God Friended Me episode 10 synopsis offers up some more information when it comes to what’s ahead — just to give you a little bit of an early idea:

“Coney Island Cyclone” – When the God Account sends Miles the name of one of Arthur’s parishioners, a single father who recently lost his wife, the similarities to their own loss reopens old wounds. Also, Rakesh and Cara hunt down a new lead on the reclusive hacker they think may be behind the God Account, on GOD FRIENDED ME, Sunday, Dec. 9 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

One of the things that Miles has experienced since the beginning of this whole God Account saga is an opening / re-opening of all sorts of emotions that he had stored away somewhere deep within his personal vault. He had really found a way to cope with a lot of what he’d been through via his podcast and his perception of faith. In some ways, it made his life a little bit easier to shut all of it away. Now that this account is out there, however, he is being forced to confront old things from his past in part because of what he is experiencing with some of the people he is trying to help. This is a guy who is going through a pretty deep emotional journey and, by the end of the season, we imagine he could be a stronger person as a whole.

Through both of the final God Friended Me episodes this year, we would say to go ahead and expect some deep, powerful, and super-emotional stuff that does touch on a lot of what Miles has gone through. We expect there to be some other personal revelations and surprises that are unraveled as this season goes along, so we just have to go ahead and prepare for some of them to arrive and make their presence known.
