Last Man Standing season 7 episode 8 video: The stories ahead

Last Man Standing may be in the midst of a hiatus, but that isn’t stopping Fox from promoting some of their upcoming episodes! There are presumably two more episodes coming up before the holiday hiatus, and the promo below may give you a sense of both “HR’s Rough n’ Stuff” as well as “The Gift of the Mike Guy.”

This promo gives you a sense of a few of the different stories that are coming up, including some holiday cheer, Baxter family drama, and Mike also getting into a little bit of conflict at Outdoor Man. The scene at the end of the preview is from the first episode (airing on December 7), one in which Kyle is going to find himself leading up HR for Outdoor Man. Let’s just say that things didn’t go exactly how he imagined, given that Chuck and Joe file a complaint against Mike on the very first day and he is left to be a mediator between all of the parties. At this point, it’s pretty clear that Kyle is going to have a hard job with this job if he ends up keeping it, mostly because the Outdoor Man certainly does have its fair share of dysfunction, especially when just about every person working at it has their own feeling as to how it should be run.

Also, Jay Leno fans will more than likely appreciate the fact that he is continuing to make his presence felt this season. Despite being a pretty busy comic who is constantly on the road, he’s managed to squeeze in both this and also episodes of his show Jay Leno’s Garage.

As for the holiday episode…

The biggest thing that we know coming into it is mostly that we’re going to have a chance to see the return of Kaitlyn Dever as Eve, which should be nice for those of you looking for a little bit of Last Man Standing nostalgia and callbacks to some earlier seasons of the show. We hope that this won’t be her last appearance of the season, but it’s probably going to depend very much based on her schedule.

We do think what matters the most here for Last Man Standing is that they convey the message that they want — one that feels very much appropriate to the spirit of the holiday. It’s about family, but also about people coming together and having a good time.
