In this video, you can get teases for a number of different contestants who are taking part this year, whether it be Billy & Emily, Sofie Dossi, Darci Lynne, Shin Lim, and of course Susan Boyle. The former Britain’s Got Talent star is arguably the most famous person in the entire history of this franchise, and while we have certainly seen her before on the show (she’s performed on some results shows), this is certainly a little bit of a different environment for her. This is one where she’s actually in competition with some of the other contestants as she tries to take home the title.
At the moment, it does feel pretty likely that Boyle will make it at least to the end of this competition — if you’re NBC, do you want to eliminate one of the most popular people that you have right away? We can’t foresee that happening. Of course, we do think that a number of the names we’ve mentioned here are potential favorites, given of course that they are extremely popular contestants, including some winners. There are contestants coming on board this show from a wide array of different parts of the world. While we’re not sure that this is a show that can be done more than once, we are rather grateful for the chance to see everyone come out and perform here at lead once. It’s been something that, on some level, we’ve been waiting to see for a really long time. More often than not, you remember a number of these contestants but you don’t have a chance to really see them at the conclusion of the season. This gives you a chance to actually check in and see where many of these people are now in their career.
America’s Got Talent: The Champions is going to premiere in January, as the series is going to fill the void on Monday nights until The Voice returns. Rest assured, we’re going to have all sorts of coverage of the competition throughout!
