NCIS: New Orleans season 5 episode 10: Wade, Cassius in danger

NCIS: New Orleans season 4 premiere

NCIS: New Orleans season 5 episode 10 may end up being the last episode of the year, and the series seems to be setting up something big. While it’s possible that there could be some holiday elements within this episode, the focus could be very much also about a potentially-deadly experience involving Pride’s father Cassius and then also Loretta Wade.

Below, CarterMatt has the NCIS: New Orleans season 5 episode 10 synopsis offers up some other information when it comes to what’s ahead:

“Tick Tock” – While on a sunrise jog, Pride is grabbed by two masked men who order him to complete a series of tasks in order to save Wade and his father, Cassius Pride (Stacy Keach), who are being held captive, on NCIS: NEW ORLEANS, Tuesday, Dec. 11 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

This episode matters to us mostly for one reason more than any other: We’ve seen Pride spend a lot of time this season wrestling with his mortality. That is, after all, why we have seen the Angel of Death on a number of occasions. We’ve never felt like she was a literal manifestation of something otherworldly; instead, it just felt like she was a fragment of Pride’s own consciousness, someone who was there for him to deal further with some of the issues that he had going on within his head. It’s possible that this is the sort of story that could bring her back. After all, “Tick Tock” itself should be very familiar to people out there who’ve been watching closely this season.

Oh, and there is one other thing worth noting about this episode: Showrunner Christopher Silber wrote it. Typically, episodes written by showrunners are the ones that are going to pack the biggest emotional punch and give you something to talk about. Silber’s done a great job with the arc of Pride’s mortality this year; this could be a story that takes it in a somewhat-unexpected direction. Pride now has to be worried about other people in addition to continue worrying about himself.

Could there be a cliffhanger at the end of this episode? It’s possible, but we’re personally a little bit more worried about some of the events that could happen within this episode more so than whatever is going to happen at the end of it.
