NCIS: New Orleans season 5 episode 9 return date: ‘Risk Assessment’ story

The bad news here, alas, is that there no new episode of the series airing on CBS in one week’s time, with the biggest reason for that simply being that the network wants to do whatever it can in order to preserve the remainder of the season. Also, we can’t be too greedy when you think about how many new episodes we’ve been lucky to have already — there’s been a lot of them, and all of them have luckily brought some good stuff to the table in one way or another. There are some other installments that the show is saving for down the line, including (hopefully) more than one episode in December.
What we know at the moment is that there is a new installment airing on December 4 entitled “Risk Assessment,” and that CarterMatt has the full synopsis below with a little more information as to what’s coming up next:
“Risk Assessment” – The NCIS team investigates the murder of a Navy contractor who, unbeknownst to anyone, lived two lives for decades, with two wives, families and careers, on NCIS: NEW ORLEANS, Tuesday, Dec. 4(10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
This episode is mostly just fascinating based on the story itself; after all, how often do you see someone doing precisely what this Navy contractor is? It’s shocking that he was able to keep this secret double life going for as long as he did, let alone that he was able to have two different wives without facing some sort of charges for polygamy. This is one of those mysteries that is worth the price of admission alone, even if we don’t know all that much else about this story at the moment.
Do we still want there to be some sort of personal story for some of these characters? Absolutely, mostly because the best episodes of the show are the ones that give us a balance between characters, relationships, and then also the cases that they take on. We’re always going to be eager to see the series take on some really fun stuff so that the actors have opportunities to shine … we just also recognize that we’ll be waiting for a while in order to see it.
