Let’s start this article off with the bad news: There is no new episode coming up on CBS next week. What’s going on? Well, there is no new episode of the show scheduled for next week, with the biggest reason for that being, simply, that the network wants to stretch things out. When you’re doing 24 episodes a season and the season is supposed to last until May, not every week can be a new episode! There are going to be some gaps here and there and you just have to be prepared for that. You almost have to be prepared for that even more with this show because they want to tell some stories closer to Christmas. NCIS, like many other shows that air across the board on CBS, often likes to run some of its episodes until close to December 25. That is a tradition that we do see lasting for however long that NCIS does remain on the air.
So what is coming up next when it comes to the story? Below, CarterMatt offers up the NCIS season 16 episode 9 synopsis with some further scoop on the future.
“Tailing Angie” – When the lead suspect of an unsolved and high-profile robbery case is released from prison, the NCIS team resumes their investigation with an undercover stakeout, on NCIS, Tuesday, Dec. 4 (8:00-9:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
As for precisely what we want to see when it comes to this story, basically this is going to be an opportunity to see some of your favorite familiar faces outside of their element. This is something that we’ll embrace virtually any time that we have a chance to see it, largely because it’s a good chance to add a fresh coat of paint to people we’re almost always used to see played in some specific way. The more that NCIS can get creative and find some ways to mix things up, the better off that the series is going to be as a whole. That’s something that has been fairly tried-and-true with this show throughout its history.
On the other side of this episode, you can be sure that there will probably be at least one more episode coming before the holidays arrive, but it remains to be seen precisely what the story for that episode will be.
