In this preview, you get a small snapshot of a number of the different stories that are coming as we prepare ourselves for just about everything on this show to finally come to a head — in just about as dramatic a way as possible of course.
For Ross – He is going to have to contend with the fact that his life in London is very different to his life in Cornwall, and after what happened with Monk Adderley it’s hardly possible to even imagine that Demelza is ever going to want to join him on one of these trips ever again.
For Demelza – At this point, her life is mostly about stabilizing things with Ross, finding more of her own success, and caring for the family. She just needs some happiness in the wake of all of the terrible stuff she has gone through.
For George – He needs to figure out if there is a way to contain his rampant jealousy for Ross, which is something that has defined and overtaken him in more ways than he could have possibly accounted for earlier this season. His actions and behavior towards Elizabeth, in particular his negative feelings towards Valentine, have caused her to consider dramatic action.
For Elizabeth – This is one of her most-important episodes in quite some time, as the character makes a shocking decision when it comes to giving birth — one that could have far-reaching consequences.
For Drake – Is there still a hope for him and Morwenna after all that they have gone through? This episode will be a true test of their relationship and also their future.
If you love Poldark, this episode should prove to be a feast for many senses and will be stuffed full of surprises virtually from start to finish. It’s a chance to see some great storytelling — plus a heck of a lot of drama. After this, the long wait will begin for the fifth and final season. More than likely, these episodes will premiere on BBC One in the UK next summer, but fans stateside are going to have for a little bit longer (think next fall) in order for them to officially premiere (unless, of course, the folks over at PBS decide to throw everyone a bone).
