Survivor: David vs. Goliath episode 9: Five players to watch!

Survivor: David vs. Goliath

Going into Survivor: David vs. Goliath episode 9, who are some of the players we should watch out for? Who should have our attention, we’re back with another edition of five players to watch and with that, we’re going to dive into all of this yet again!

As always with these articles, we’ve also got something for you in video form! Take a look below for that discussion, and remember to both subscribe to CarterMatt on YouTube for more, and also take a look at our full playlist.

Dan – He has to be the consensus #1 on the board just in the wake of all of the insanity that just unfolded on this past episode. Dan lost an idol that he used on Angelina, and as it turns out, she still wouldn’t have gone home even if he kept it. John, a closer ally to him than Angelina ever was, exited the game instead. While he does have an idol, there is a super-interesting setup here in that Carl, with his idol nullifier, could get him voted out of the game if he makes this move and Nick steals a vote from the members of the Goliath tribe. It’s an interesting combination of variables, but it’s definitely worth watching.

Nick – As much as we praised Davie for what he did last night, Nick seems to be the one with the more social relationships at play here. He didn’t target someone within the Strike Force, so maybe he tries to find a way to re-form some of that. Because he has the vote steal, he becomes more powerful with each and every passing week.

Kara – Moving into the previews for the next episode, it seems as though she is ready to turn on Dan. With that in mind, you have to wonder if she is making a terrible mistake in trying to flip so soon. Nobody on the David tribe is suddenly going to want to work that closely with her, and beyond just that, it feels like she’ll be burning a ton of jury votes. Yet, to each their own.

Christian – How does he recover from being in so much grave danger? He should probably do some hunting for an immunity idol since at least one of them is probably getting buried again somewhere. Beyond that, he probably needs to find a way to either reduce the target around him or just make sure his David numbers are so strong that he isn’t altogether vulnerable.

Alison – While it may seem counter-intuitive to have her here after she didn’t do a ton on this past episode, remember this: She wants Dan out of the game. She said so before the merge. Is she going to take advantage of this opportunity, or decide that losing another Goliath tribe member so soon after John is probably a questionable idea?
