Manifest episode 8 preview: About the ‘Point of No Return’

Do you want to know what’s coming on Manifest episode 8 when it airs within one week’s time? The title here is “Point of No Return” and this is going to feature Ben pushing harder for information, and answers, than perhaps at any other point to date. As we build towards the end of the season, there are more jaw-droppers coming … but for now, the main order of business here is going to be trying to find a way to locate the missing passenger. That is the primary order of business and we don’t think that this is going to change until the storyline is wrapped up.

11/19/2018 (10:00PM – 11:00PM) (Monday) : Ben (Josh Dallas) forms an unlikely partnership with Vance (Daryl Edwards) in a high-stakes race to locate the missing passengers of Flight 828. Meanwhile, Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh) helps a suicidal passenger who believes he is the Angel of Death, and Cal (Jack Messina) goes back to school, navigating both his unwanted celebrity and his former friends, who are all now 16 years old. Also starring Athena Karkanis, J.R. Ramirez and Luna Blaise. TV-14 V

The Cal storyline is one of the ones that we’re the most curious about, at least socially, for a number of different reasons. What’s one of the biggest reasons for that? It’s merely from a sociological perspective. This is a chance to see how a kid like Cal manages to withstand a lot of tough things that are going to be thrown at him. He had a life and he had so many good friends, but some of these people are going to be treating him a little bit differently. It’s not just because of his health battle; it’s because of him being a passenger on that flight. There are so many stories and so many inside jokes that he has missed. He has to find a way to move forward and figure out precisely what his life is going to look like. He may need some new friends, but we’ve got a feeling that he wants some of his old friends.

As for the story of Michaela, we do think that this is going to be a nice reminder as to what she’s great at and also how she can help other people. In the midst of all of the hardship that she’s gone through, helping people who are suffering could be her path to salvation. It’s a chance to prove herself and then some.
