Blue Bloods season 9 episode 8: Donnie Wahlberg’s ‘Stirring the Pot’ story

Blue Bloods season 9

Want to know where things are going with Blue Bloods season 9 episode 8? We begin here with the title of “Stirring the Pot.” That implies a sense of mischief and trouble that could prove interesting. As to whether or not some of this trouble was actually caused by one of the Reagans, that’s something to be seen.

The storyline moving into this episode that will command everyone’s attention revolves around Frank and Erin, and understandably so given that there haven’t been too many opportunities to see them go head to head. For starters, Erin hasn’t been high enough on the legal food chain to be responsible for many of these battles herself. Also, we feel like Frank has been tremendously resistant to go against his daughter — as anyone would. Yet, he’s still bound by duty and all sorts of other police-jargon to protect cops at all costs, so when Erin brings up some legislation that could make officers’ jobs more difficult, he has to speak out about it. This is what causes the two to clash, and you have to hope that by the end of the episode, there is a way for there to be an adequate conclusion.

For some other insight regarding what lies ahead here for some other characters, including a notable one for Donnie Wahlberg and his character of Danny Reagan, take a look at the Blue Bloods season 9 episode 8 synopsis that CarterMatt has for you below:

“Stirring the Pot” – Erin and Frank clash over new legislation from the district attorney’s office that undermines Frank’s policies. Also, Erin is at odds with Governor Mendez (David Zayas) over questionable sex-trafficking laws; Danny risks his badge to protect a friend from losing his; and an accident on the job forces Jamie to question whether he’s ready to be a sergeant, on BLUE BLOODS, Friday, Nov. 16 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

Anytime that you have Danny risking his whole career, our general consensus is that it’s gotta be a notable story. It’s not really a shock given what we know about this character and his sense of pride, but it still could be a fairly-powerful thing to behold. One of Danny’s greatest qualities is that he does care for others, even if he has a tendency to drag himself into the ground along the way.

As for Jamie questioning his position on the force, this has gotta be a temporary blip on the radar. One of the best things for him is the fact that he has Eddie by his side, and making him take stock in what he has; she’ll remind him that just because something goes wrong, that doesn’t mean that he is unworthy of the gig (or, that’s at least how we picture this playing out in the ol’ noggin).
