According to a new report via Deadline, Dynasty actress Elena Tovar is poised to appear in the entirety of season 3 in the role of Isabel. She is the White House Director of Social Innovation, which largely means that she will be working to really push things forward into the future. It’s one of those sort of important positions that you don’t hear all that much about.
For those who are wondering, this is a position that does technically exist in the world. Its purpose is to basically try to find new ways for the government to do business. It involves looking at current trends and making sure that America is at the forefront of everything. It is a pretty important job, even if it is one that is so underneath the surface.
For Designated Survivor season 3 in general, we imagine that there are going to be a wide array of different surprises. This is, after all, what comes about when you’ve got a show that moves over to Netflix after two years at ABC. Filming is currently underway on this new season, and it’s going to be premiering presumably at some point in 2019. We’re hoping that there are some powerful stories, and we certainly do believe that this show is going to be bigger and hopefully stronger than ever.
Of course, we do anticipate that there will be some more information when it comes to Designated Survivor still; with production still fairly early on, there have to be more names that aren’t announced just yet … right? It certainly feels that way.
