“The Patton Project” – Deputy Director Ochoa (Esai Morales) volunteers the NCIS team to assist with a covert operation tied to a terrorist group advocating for extreme military force. Also, Callen has concerns as to what an assignment of this nature could mean for the future of the team, on NCIS: LOS ANGELES, Sunday, Nov. 18 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
As we dive deeper into this episode, we imagine that the team members are going to find themselves in an increasingly tough position. It’s extremely dangerous, for starters, and the implications for it go such deeper than most of anything they’re typically a part of.
With that being said, the future of this team has constantly been in a good bit of flux for quite some time — really ever since Mosley came in last season. Hetty’s always been on the verge of being either fired or killed, Mosley is now on the rocks, and it feels like there’s some element of ever-changing leadership now in between Kilbride and also Ochoa. Both of these characters are making their presence felt at the moment. Maybe by the end of this season, there will be some more stability at the top of the food chain … but it certainly does not seem as though any is coming right now.
