Madam Secretary season 5 episode 5 preview: What’s ahead in ‘Ghosts’?

The title for this installment is “Ghosts,” and this will be a story, at least in part, about the past for Henry McCord. He’s going to be looking back at a series of events in his life involving an ex-girlfriend. She’s going to be a part of his world again in this episode, albeit in a rather unexpected way. How far will he go in order to help her? That is what you should wonder entering this particular episode.

“Ghosts” – Henry finds himself at the center of an international incident, when he comes to the aid of an ex-girlfriend at a religious freedom conference in Thailand, after she is imprisoned for condemning the monarchy. Also, Elizabeth helps Jason navigate the pressure of preparing for college, on MADAM SECRETARY, Sunday, Nov. 4 (10:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

This episode should at least be exciting for Tim Daly fans, since you’re going to see a good performance from him at the center of it. His actions could have larger implications beyond himself, and it’s actually interesting to see him at the center of a story that you’re used to seeing Elizabeth take the headlining position for. As for Elizabeth, it seems on the surface like her story is a little more personal — which is find by us, since it is nice to see a little bit of variety here. Beyond just that, it’s also just great to have Jason have something interesting to do given that he hasn’t had stories of the same magnitude as some other characters as of late.

Overall, this does feel like an episode that will bring you some of the best of what Madam Secretary has to offer.
